Notes: I got the idea for this project years ago from my kids' primary school art class. This is something ANYONE can try - even those of us (yes, myself included) who "can't draw"!

Simply find a picture in a magazine, cut it in half, then use the other half as a guide to draw/paint in the part that is missing!!!

I Heart Fifty!!!

More Notes: In honor of turning the big 5-0 this year, I have been making a series of "Fifty" ACEO's. I figure if I made one per week ... by the end of the year, I will have fifty Fifty's!

Final Note: For those of you who are still waiting to see my finished "Random Quilt", I am still waiting for a sunny day to take a picture! I tried on a cloudy day, but the colors just didn't work. I haven't forgotten!

Random Quilt ... Sneak Peak

Name: "Random Quilt'
Size: 8' x 8-1/2'

Notes: Just a sneak peak of the FINALLY finished "Random Quilt" (my name for a 'crazy quilt'). It took longer than I anticipated, but the finished product is worth it!

This is just one corner ... a picture of the entire finished quilt will be posted as soon as I can get a decent picture.

More Notes: I made each block separately, then sewed the blocks together. I then sewed them onto a thin quilt I got at the Goodwill Surplus Store - tattered and torn. Cheating? Maybe - but I kind of like the idea of saving $$ as well as recycling something that was precious to someone else at one point. If I hadn't bought this quilt for backing, it would have been incinerated.

More Notes: I had used the front of the Christmas card for something else, and was going to throw away the inside when I found this delightful fragmented sentence. It was so random and whimsical that I decided it needed to be saved - and made into it's own art card.

More Notes: I have never set out to make an art card specifically inspired by someone. Until now. This ACEO was made with a very special and wonderful friend in mind - Terry over at Lady Liberty Patriot. Terry - thank you so much for your friendship, for your encouragement when I needed it so much, for your generosity and for your huge heart. I really do love you - even though you are going through hard times yourself - you still take the time to be an inspiration to me and to so many others!

This ACEO will be winging it's way to you via snail mail within a few days. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it for you.
